I work in hired, and the last place I worked was a rural campus which had a wonderful bird population plus visiting migratory birds. I never was into it, but the employees had a bird club so did the students and they would work together sometimes.
The employee group had bought in bulk beginner binoculars show newbie could get them for cheaper. I bought these for $45 (actually $50, guy didn’t have any change lol) but I saw them on the Dicks sporting website for $63.99 in 2022.
Got relocated to a city haven’t BW’d since. Is a great hobby, download an app called Merlin and it will listen for birds’ chirping and tell you which type are near you it’s crazy.
Used for two afternoons and then shelved for good. I hate shipping costs when I am shopping online so free shipping. Rather than throw away or “donate” for a company to make money selling them abroad, I am selling here for my costs of shipping + $2 to motivate my butt to the post office otherwise I would lose money on the gas haha
